ㅤㅤParis’ Saint-Joseph Hospital was as crowded as always. You can easily hear the sound of people talking and passing each other. It echoed right to her ear, the young lady with blonde hair, wearing a pink patient gown. She was running through the hallway, her little steps was begging to catch up with the brunette boy who was way ahead of her. He was holding a teddy bear as he ran. As people walked past them, they were giving them a weird glance. The doctors and nurses were only smiling since they were used to their behavior. Those kids were Millie and Adam, the 14 years old patients of Paris’ Saint-Joseph Hospital. They were bound to be close to each other because that day was marked as a year since they were hospitalized together.

ㅤㅤ“Adam! Give it back!” screamed the young lady.

ㅤㅤ“It doesn't sound threatening to me, Mills!” he kept running, nimbly passing the people. Millie's legs were going to give up but she didn't want to lose again. Especially to him. So she gathered her last breaths to run, fast enough to grab Adam's blue patient gown. He was flabbergasted by her action.

ㅤㅤSo that small lady could keep up with me, at last. He thought to himself. Millie was panting before she hit him in the head, softly. “I hate you, you know?” She said as she grabbed her teddy bear.  “And I know you don't mean it,” he gave her a wide smile. They laughed.

ㅤ Then they had a conversation as they walked towards their room. “Say, Adam. If you're going to get discharged tomorrow, what would you do first?” asked the blonde lady.

Adam looked at her, he thought about it for a second, then answered, “As in what will I do outside? I think I will go to a lot of public places! You know the Eiffel Tower? I always wondered what it looks like in person!”

“I'm sure you will see it soon!” Millie said it with a sincere smile, not knowing that *soon* is sooner than she thought.
